Cementos Progreso, one of Guatemala’s leading cement producers, selected CIAS to secure the 5 km perimeter of its Planta San Gabriel facility.
The site needed to overcome the limitations of physical guarding alone while reducing operating costs and improving monitoring continuity, detection accuracy and response speed.
The deployed solution includes:
- SIOUX PRO2 along the entire fence line;
- MICRO-RAY to protect the site entrance;
- IB-SYSTEM-IP for centralized management;
- integration with the existing cameras and VMS.
Through an RF communication network, alarms are transmitted wirelessly to the Operations and Control Centre.
The system can detect and distinguish events such as fence cutting, climbing and tampering, allowing operators to respond quickly and accurately.
The project has delivered continuous perimeter protection, improved operational efficiency and reduced reliance on physical guarding alone.
