ERMO 482 is the originally designed microwave barrier by CIAS featuring analog technology and a parabolic antenna.
Since 1982, the ERMO 482 has been renowned for its robustness and excellent quality/price ratio. This sensor technology was further developed utilizing the advanced Fuzzy Logic analysis technology, called the ERMO 482X3 PRO, which is used in high-security applications.
From the beginning, the CIAS ERMO microwave technologies have set the standards and raised the bar in perimeter protection due to its mechanical advances and signal quality—characteristics that have contributed to the product’s long-lasting success.

Perimeter Protection (50–200 m)
Ermo 482 is a volumetric bistatic microwave barrier, consisting of a transmitting and receiving unit placed facing each other to create an invisible wall of protection. Its detection capabilities vary depending on the type of antenna, the distance between the units, and the chosen sensitivity settings.
The 50-meter model uses a 100 mm parabolic antenna, ideal for achieving wide coverage over short distances. The 80, 120, and 200 m versions use 200 mm antennas, which produce smaller lobes, suitable for environments with limited space or where long ranges are required.
Robust and Reliable
ERMO 482 is the ideal solution for outdoor areas requiring protection, and is designed to operate in all weather conditions.
Compact, precise, and easily configured, it adapts to various security scenarios while ensuring continuous and effective intrusion detection and protection.
It features sensitivity and integration adjustments and includes a 4-channel anti-tampering system.
