Apache Long Range is an advanced system for perimeter intrusion detection on fences, gas and oil pipelines, and other long perimeters. . Based on D.A.S. technology, it uses a single-mode fiber optic cable to monitor acoustic events up to 50 km per channel, and is extendable up to 100 km in redundant mode with a single analyzer. Models come in ranges of 5km, 10km, 30km. Through the use of O.T.D.R. (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry) technology,
Apache Long Range can detect intrusion attempts with an accuracy of 10 meters, distinguishing between real threats and environmental disturbances.
It is ideal for protecting important critical infrastructure that relies on vast networks, from oil and gas pipelines to cable ducts, as well as the extensive perimeters of territorial boundaries and complex industrial environments, offering total immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Intelligent and configurable sensing technology
Apache Long Range uses DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) technology, which turns fiber cable into a distributed sensor capable of detecting vibrations at many points in a continuous structure. Through an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) device, the system can search for interruptions and transmission problems along hundreds of kilometers, detecting cable breaks or signal loss.
Acoustic signals from the sensor cable are classified by special AI algorithms to determine whether the system is under threat of intrusion in real time, thus significantly reducing false alarms.
Detection zones are software-configurable, and the system easily integrates with video surveillance and other security systems, providing a comprehensive, real-time view of detected events.
Anti-intrusion applications
Apache Long Range is ideal for the protection of walls and fences, industrial sites and also along extensive national borders, as its intelligent acoustic classification enables it to accurately distinguish events such as trespassing and drilling.

Applications on cable and pipeline theft
In the telecommunications sector, Apache Long Range provides physical surveillance of data cables and critical lines, preventing eavesdropping or tampering. In addition, its inherent immunity to electromagnetic interference makes it even more reliable and secure against sabotage attempts.
The OTDR device’s analysis helps identify signal loss caused by breakage, a kink in the cable, splice loss/issue, connector loss, splice panel location, reflectivity.
Gas and oil pipeline drilling applications
Pipelines that transport and distribute liquid and gaseous materials are built on land, underground and offshore, often crossing remote areas subject to adverse weather conditions. Protecting their integrity from external threats is critical to national security and economic stability.
Fiber-optic distributed acoustic systems enable real-time supervision of long-distance pipelines with a single cable. Third-party intrusions such as excavations, ground movement and structural changes, as well as leaks and punctures are detected promptly by scanning for noise or pressure waves generated by fluid escaping from the pipe.
