SIOUX PRO2 - MEMS

This is the best network technology, chosen for its maximum performance.

An ideal technology choice for intrusion detection on fences, due to its maximum detection capability in all environments.

The SIOUX PRO2 is an anti-intrusion system that detects cutting, climbing and lifting attempts on both rigid and flexible fences, with maximum reliability in all conditions.

Internationally recognised, with countless awards, it has been installed in high-security (and other) installations with significant positive results.
The system consists of sensors with MEMS (Micro Electro Mechancial System) technology that has the ability to virtually eliminate false alarm rates with precise and reactive monitoring.

and advantages over traditional fence detection systems), CIAS uses MEMS (Micro Electrical Mechanical System) technology to analyse signals and practically eliminate false alarms caused by extreme environmental conditions and unwanted alerts like small animals. As small as a dust mite, MEMS was invented in Italy in 1995. Since then, it has become a standard in all technological devices, especially smartphones.
CIAS developed it in collaboration with Milan Polytechnic; SIOUX was the first fence system in the world to use innovative MEMS sensor technology.

These accelerometers constantly monitor the movements of the fence by rapidly assessing changes and simultaneously comparing them with Fuzzy Logic behavioural boards which is the way in which false alarms are eliminated as they are ruled out as an event.

The Fuzzy Logic Technology Differentiator

Pinpoint Detection Ability

SIOUX is able to detect intrusion attempts with the accuracy of 1 metre (3.28 feet). A feature of great accuracy that allows the system, integrated with other perimeter technologies such as cameras, to slew the PTZ directly (or having a fixed camera on a specific area to be monitored) on the intrusion underway with the result of rapid response time to address. This saves a lot of time addressing “false” alarms.

plug & play

Installation is very easy: sensors are mounted on the fence (typically every 5 metres/20 feet) and then connected in series through cabling.

Cable is for power only as the brains of the system is in the sensor, each inside a robust housing.

Sensor addresses are automatically assigned during installation making this plug-and-play system quick and easy, not only to install but also to maintain..
