Hands-On Learning in Łódź: Inspiring Future Engineers Through Space and Security Technology

ISC East at the Javits Center

In Łódź, an exciting educational initiative is bringing students closer to the world of engineering and space technology—proving that the best way to learn is by doing.

Colleagues from CIAS Sp. z o.o. recently welcomed students from Społeczna Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1 STO for a hands-on technical workshop the project “Key to Space.” This initiative is promoted by POLSA Polska Agencja Kosmiczna in collaboration with Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, with the goal of developing technical skills and demonstrating how engineering concepts come to life in real-world applications.

During the workshop, students had the opportunity to engage directly with electronics and explore how selected CIAS devices function, guided by company experts. Through practical activities, the children discovered the fundamentals of technology in an interactive and stimulating environment—bridging the gap between theory and practice.

This initiative highlights the importance of early STEM education and showcases how industry and educational institutions can work together to inspire the next generation of innovators.
